Norton Rose Fulbright is a product of a 2013 merger between the US law firms Norton Rose and Fulbright & Jaworski. The firm went through a series of additional international mergers in 2017.

The firm, which has offices in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe, focuses on sectors such as consumer markets, energy, infrastructure and resources, financial institutions, life sciences, healthcare, technology and transport.

It advised Standard Chartered Private Bank on the financing of Lion Plaza Propco’s acquisition of Lion Plaza, Old Broad Street, London, for more than £200 million.

The firm also advised Wildfire Defense Systems on the establishment of an additional option for businesses in California requiring property insurance against wildfires.

In September Norton Rose Fulbright announced that Gerry Pecht was stepping down from his role as global chief executive and as a partner after 43 years at the firm. The US managing partner Jeff Cody and Europe Middle East and Asia managing partner Peter Scott were made interim joint chairmen of the global executive committee.
