Tour guide killed in coach crash
A BRITISH woman tour guide was thrown out of a coach and killed after it skidded in heavy snow in southern Germany. She was names as Rosie Nolan, 57. Twenty-one passengers were injured in the crash and, seven are in as serious condition. The coach, which started in London, was taking Britons to a skiing holiday in Zillertal, Austrai.

Howards father turned away in 1937
THE father of Michael Howard, leader of the Tory party, was turned away from Britain when he arrived by ship at Dover in 1937. Bermat Hecht, who was born in Romania, was initailly refused entry but later allowed to stay after the intervention of a Labour MP, James Henry Hall, who wrote to the then home secretary asking him to consider the case.

LEAFLETS were handed out at Hull City’s home game as the police searched for Joanne Nelson, 22, who went missing last Monday. Police have been given until today to question Nelson’s boyfriend, Paul Dyson, 30.
Yachtsman dies
AN English yachtsman died after he was washed overboard off the west coast of Ireland. The body of the man, aged 50, was found on a beach in Co Mayo. The alarm was raised by his son, aged 19, who was rescued.
Minister sacked
THE Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe has sacked Jonathan Moyo, his information minister after he defected from the ruling Zanu-PF party to run as an independent in next months parliamentary elections. A spokesman said Moyo had also been expelled from Zanu-PF. Moyo is expected to stand in Tsholotsho, his home constituency.
