Second child sex arrest

Detectives investigating the suspected sexual abuse of more than 20 children have arrested a 22-year-old man from the West Midlands. He is the second person to be arrested in the inquiry in the Torbay and Teignbridge areas of Devon. The man is being held on suspicion of the rape of two women and sexual activity with a child. The offences are alleged to have taken place in Torbay.

Spanish air strike threat

Michael O’Leary, the head of Ryanair, has urged the European Commission to intervene to prevent chaos this Easter after Spanish airport staff threatened a series of strikes in protest against plans to sell off parts of the state-owned operator, Aena. He said airport services should be protected by anti-strike clauses.
