Six held after bricks thrown at police

SIX people were arrested in Londonderry early yesterday after police in the Galliagh area had bricks and bottles thrown at them. Two of those arrested were 17-year-old girls.

The others were a 16-year-old boy, a 19-year-old man and two men aged 21. The 16-year-old was released with a warning while the others face public order offences, including disorderly behaviour, assaulting police and possession of a dangerous weapon.
