New Audi TT breaks cover

This is the first official picture of the new Audi TT . . . well, almost. Audi is calling this concept car the TT Shooting Brake but its executives admit it is a tweaked version of the new, roomier TT that will hit showrooms later this year.

A source told the Sunday Times the car was “a fully sorted new TT”.

The Shooting Brake, to be launched on Wednesday, comes with a 3.2 litre 250bhp V6 engine and can hit 62mph in 6sec. New TTs will be available in coupé or roadster versions.

This the first time the TT has been remodelled since its launch in 1998. Since then the UK has become the biggest market for the car, with more than 8,000 TTs sold here last year.
