This year, on its 40th anniversary, this Midlands firm announced that it had been acquired by the private equity-backed legal group Lawfront. All staff and the firm’s brand were retained.

From offices in Derby, Nottingham and Leicester, its lawyers advise businesses and individuals on their legal and investment needs. Areas of work include accident and medical claims, business services, wills and inheritance, wealth management, dispute resolution, property and employment.

Over the past year, the firm’s personal injury and medical negligence team secured settlements for 55 clients, recovering more than £101 million in damages.

It advised the shareholders of Witham Valley Care Group, a provider of specialist care to people with severe learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, on their sale to Choice Care Group.
