Sir, RD Hughes (letter, Sept 1) disapproves of the disruption caused here by this week’s Nato conference. I suspect that many people around the world, not just in Ukraine, Syria and Iraq, would settle for this temporary inconvenience. We are very lucky to have been born in a country which has motorways, shops, employment and schools and much more and our people are considerate enough to make facilities available for peaceful demonstrations to take place.
