Musical Taste is ready to hit winning note

Punters should tread carefully at Carlisle, as the ground there has turned soft, resulting in a raft of non-runners. There are no such concerns yet at Leicester, though, where Musical Taste (6.55) makes plenty of appeal at the 9-2 generally on offer.

This filly showed ability on her first two starts but took a big step forward last time, finishing a neck second to Galesburg in a maiden over this course and distance.

She travelled like the winner for much of that contest, collared late on but pulling well clear of the rest of the field.

Musical Taste looks to have been let in lightly on her handicap debut here, while the return of the excellent Andrea Atzeni in the saddle is a further positive.

Even if rain does arrive it will not be a concern for Musical Taste and she can see off the promising Curtain Call.
