He was a master of reinvention, so it’s fitting that George Michael’s former home in Ramatuelle, on the French Riviera, has had a reinvention of its own. The 460 sq metre property near St Tropez, was owned by the Wham! front man in the 1980s, and is on sale for €11.9m. Now a vision in white, it has six bedrooms, a pool and a gym. The trees that guarded his privacy have been removed to open up sea views. Michael, who died on Christmas Day at the age of 53, had a not insignificant property portfolio: it included a posh pad in Palm Beach, near Sydney, and a Georgian residence in celebrity-speckled Highgate, north London.

The British fashion maven Alexa Chung splits her time between her native London and the New York home of her Swedish actor boyfriend, Alexander Skarsgard, but could he be trying to lure her there more permanently?
The True Blood and Tarzan actor, who sold his Los Angeles bachelor pad for $2.9m (€2.73m) back in 2015, when the couple started dating, has been spotted househunting in New York’s East Village, where he was checking out a duplex penthouse. The building has a restored 1910 limestone facade and original stained-glass windows; although it isn’t publicly on the market, it is still vacant and was last listed for $4.39m.
Chung, 33, spent six years living in New York before returning to London last April to work on her new clothing label, which launches in May. She owns a small one-bedder in the East Village, which she bought in 2011.
