The full-service firm Morton Fraser works with a wide spectrum of clients; from individuals and families to businesses and public sector bodies.

Recent activity includes a number of real estate deals such as acting for BAM Properties in the final letting of Edinburgh’s Capital Square office development. The firm has also been working increasingly in high-value, cross-border corporate and finance matters such as acting as Scots counsel for the multinational satellite data analytics company Spire Global on its $120 million refinancing deal with Blue Torch Capital.

Morton Fraser has advised the UK and Scottish governments on their involvement in some of the country’s longest-running and most prominent public inquiries, including the Scottish child abuse inquiry and both of the Covid-19 inquiries.

This year the firm announced its impending merger with MacRoberts, scheduled to go live in November. The move will create a new entrant at the top table of Scotland’s independent firms, with 250 staff and an estimated annual revenue of £46 million.
