Sir, Notwithstanding Mary Ann Sieghart and research at Cambridge University (T2, September 2; letter, September 13), there are occasions when it is vital to place the letters of a word in the correct order.
I recall hearing, many years ago, one of this country’s fine classical singers recount his delight when presented with a concert programme which misspelt the title of an item to read Just a Snog at Twilight.
Yours sincerely,
MIKE RICHARDSON,
