Missing trophies found

EIGHT rowing cups, including the Fox Tankard with book of honour, which were lost when the security company responsible for them went into liquidation, have been recovered by the Nottinghamshire police (John Goodbody writes).

Worth a total of £7,000, the trophies are presented at the National Schools Regatta in May, but this year they could not be recovered from National Guarding Security Services, which had closed its premises.

However, the police were able to interview a member of the company who said that he was keeping the trophies safe. He later handed them over.
