The prominent health law practice Mills & Reeve advised the Wellcome Sanger Institute on a $28 million investment in Mosaic Therapeutics, an oncology business. Funding came from Syncona, a leading healthcare company with a portfolio of global leaders in life sciences, and Cambridge Innovation Capital, a deep tech and life sciences investor. Mosaic now can advance its pipeline of targeted oncology therapies.

The firm also advised the Maritime & Coastguard Agency on a £1.6 billion contract to deliver its second-generation search-and-rescue aviation programme. The agency provides the UK’s maritime and coastal search-and-rescue team with emergency co-ordination and response services. The ten-year contract was awarded to Bristow Helicopters.
