This New York-based firm, which can trace its roots back to 1866, has a long history of work with prestigious clients. It carried out the legal work on the building of the Rockefeller Center in the 1930s. The firm’s offices now extend to London, Beijing, Tokyo, São Paulo and Singapore.
It has been involved in deals involving impressive sums this year. It represented a group of ten private credit funds on the £1.25 billion financing for the Swedish buyout firm EQT’s £4.6 billion cash offer to acquire the British veterinary drug firm Dechra Pharma, in what stands to be one of the largest UK takeover deals this year.
It also worked on another large-scale matter, for a London-listed group, through its work advising the financing sources of the global infrastructure network operator Brookfield Infrastructure’s £4 billion acquisition of HomeServe, the multinational home repairs and improvements business.
