Gianni di Gregorio, U (2008)

In this wonderful, slight delight, a sixty-something man must look after his mother and three elderly women over the Italian summer holiday of Ferragosto. Gentle chaos ensues. The writer and director Gregorio also stars as the harried bachelor, and the aged quartet are often hilarious. It’s a film that brings a smile just to think about it.
