Not long ago a comic who swore like a navvy would never be considered safe, but that is the niche into which the blue-but-harmless McIntyre has merrily skipped. Few stand-ups are better at communicating the simple joy of shared experience: the most fruitful targets of his latest soon-to-be-mega-selling DVD are the locker-room exhibitionists who don shirt, tie — even top hat! — while remaining blithely naked from the waist down.
