The Sin City superstar saw off competition from celebrity-heavy beach resorts and glitzy, five-star getaways, thanks to its huge casino, 15 restaurants, Cirque du Soleil show and outpost of burlesque club Crazy Horse. As well as favourite hotels, the survey reveals top destinations and best airlines - and names and shames the most disappointing experiences of those who took part. Travelodge and Holiday Inn came bottom of the
pile in the British and European hotel categories: if people couldn't pinpoint exactly what was wrong with them, there was nothing very right, either. One man said of the Gatwick Travelodge: 'The whole place looked tired. As did the staff.'
