Major Bruce Shand

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Major Charles Enderby at a service held on Monday at St Paul’s, Knightsbridge, to celebrate the life of Major Bruce Middleton Hope Shand.

The Prince of Wales, son-in-law, gave an address.

The Rev Alan Gyle officiated, assisted by the Right Rev Peter Ball, who read the prayers and the Regimental Collect of the 9th/12th Royal Lancers.

The Duchess of Cornwall, daughter, read from the works of St Thomas More, Mr Simon Elliot, son-in-law, read from The Canterbury Tales by Chaucer, and Mr Mark Shand, son, read from the works of Wilfrid Scawen Blunt.
