McAlister Family Law, which has offices in Cheshire, Manchester and London, is a specialist child and family firm under the umbrella of the legal consortium Beyond Group.

Work this year has included representing a wife seeking to claim on an international family trust worth more than £300 million. The firm also acted for a husband seeking to protect his share in a farm that had been in his family for four generations.

The firm’s Children Division includes ten accredited specialists and provides dispute resolution services. It is representing a client in a case of global interest because of its religious associations involving the possible death of a child. This year the team also secured the return of four children who had been removed from a jurisdiction without their father’s consent.
