Mary Monson Solicitors represents Christopher Marsh, the former director and chief financial officer of the bakery chain Patisserie Valerie, which collapsed in 2019. After an investigation that began in 2018, the Serious Fraud Office brought charges of fraud against Marsh in September, together with his wife, Louise, who is an accountant, the financial controller Pritesh Mistry and financial consultant Nileshkumar Lad. All four are charged with allegedly inflating the amount of cash the pastry shops had and hiding debts of £10 million. Marsh has indicated he will fight the charges at trial.

It also acted for an unnamed MI6 spy who, despite warnings about his extreme mental vulnerability, was sent to jihadist camps in Pakistan. When he returned to the UK he killed his child. During his trial, much of which was held in secret, he admitted killing his child but said he had been in the grip of a breakdown and having psychotic outbursts. A jury accepted that he had a mental illness but found him guilty of murder.
