Lucie Scott, copywriter, 26, and Chris Jones, communications and affiliate marketing, 31
Lucie and Chris met through work and over 18 months they got to know each other, until one day they realised there was more. “Our colleagues saw it coming,” says Lucie. “Whenever Chris phoned me, I would go bright red.”
They arranged to meet. “Lucie was living at home and I sat with her little brother in the lounge. His eyes didn’t leave me for the entire time,” he says. “Then he said, ‘Do you like football?’ When I said I did, things were fine!”
Six months later they were living together. “We talked about getting married,” says Lucie. “But I wanted to be surprised, so I gave him a few hints, my ring size and then forgot about it.”
Chris proposed on a skiing holiday. “He kept telling me to come and look at the view. When I did he got down on one knee in the snow and proposed.” “Marriage hadn’t crossed my mind before I met Lucie. It’s the ultimate thing you can do with someone.”The couple will wed on July 3.
