There is the usual round of meetings, but “as I am away from my desk a lot, I much prefer e-mail communication to telephone. Vive le Blackberry.”
If there is anything Gregson really needs to think about, he prefers to work on it at home to avoid interruptions.
There is a lot of evening activity with clients and colleagues. “My least proud record was 58 evenings out in 64 — and for six of those I did two events,” says Gregson.
Weekends in Essex are for family and friends, “and using the so-called hardship of the week as an excuse to avoid doing any gardening”.
