Delhi A man aged 32 who was visiting a Mumbai hospital was dragged into an MRI scanner and killed. Staff had asked him to carry an oxygen cylinder near the machine’s strong magnets. A doctor and junior staff member are under arrest.
Bulgaria puts rich under spotlight
Sofia Wealthy Bulgarians are to be investigated as the country tries to show the EU that it is serious about tackling corruption. Those with luxury cars or expensive property are under scrutiny by the state prosecutor. In 2015 and 2016 more than 350 Bulgarians bought property worth more than £224,000 when the average monthly wage is £450. Jakarta Indonesia is drafting changes to the law that could ban all consensual sex outside marriage. Most political parties in the mainly Muslim country are said to support the changes, particularly those that outlaw gay sex. (Reuters)
Postman hid pile of mail for 8 years
Rome Italian police have found more than half a tonne of undelivered post in a 56-year-old postman’s garage in Vicenza. They promised that the pile containing utility bills and bank statements will now be delivered, some of it eight years late. (AP)
