The firm’s work over the past year includes advising the Robertson Group, one of the UK’s largest family-owned construction, infrastructure and support services businesses, in its successful bid to deliver the £150 million Cardiff Bay Arena. It also worked with the construction materials company Breedon Aggregates on its £178 million purchase of Cemex UK’s sites.

MacRoberts advised on a £5 million investment in the Glasgow-based Hydrogen Vehicle Systems by Beehive Equity, a subsidiary of the petrol station giant and Asda owner EG Group.The investment will enable HVS to take its hydrogen-powered vehicle designs through prototyping and demonstration, allowing manufacturing to begin. The number of vehicles HVS aims to produce by 2030 would save as much carbon emission as is given off by Heathrow Airport annually.

The firm also advised LCP Group on its acquisition of retail property in Aviemore, its largest retail purchase in Scotland.
