Construction and property companies will come into focus next week, with Hammerson, the property company which last month sold its Liberty shopping centre in Romford to Cosgrave Property for £281 million, kicking off the week on Monday with its interim results. On Tuesday the property developer Brixton is set to publish its interim numbers. The company recently bought the former Guinness brewery in Park Royal, northwest London, for £47 million, from the drinks group Diageo.
Also on Tuesday the estate agent Savills is scheduled to report its first-half figures. A day later Derwent Valley, which recently leased 50,400 sq ft at its 150,000 sq ft development, the Johnson Building in Hatton Garden, London, to Grey Advertising, will report its interim results. Also on Wednesday, Wilson Bowden, the housebuilder which this week appointed Jane Aikman as finance director, will report its interim results.
