The fourth annual Chamber Music on Valentia festival takes place on August 18-20 on Valentia Island in Co Kerry. Composer and pianist Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin will premiere Carolan Celebration, his tribute to 18th century Irish harpist Turlough O’Carolan, and there are pop-up exhibits, interviews and performances. chambermusiconvalentia.com

Next weekend Galgorm resort and spa in Ballymena will run a gin festival to coincide with the Northern Ireland golf open held at Galgorm Castle.
