A Dublin tech company set up by serial entrepreneur Peter Conlon is being wound up following a petition by the Revenue Commissioners.
A liquidator has been appointed to Pembroke Dynamic Internet Services, which previously traded as Ammado Internet Services. Revenue petitioned to wind up the company last September but Pembroke subsequently sought the appointment of an examiner.
After a court hearing last week, Myles Kirby of Kirby Healy accountants was installed as liquidator. KBC Bank is a creditor of the company, which developed a system to allow people to donate to charities online.
Conlon, who previously founded MV Technology and Xsil, moved to Switzerland in recent years and runs Ammado from there. The Dublin company made €66,333 profit in the financial year to the end of February 2016 but had accumulated losses of €19.4m and net liabilities of €15.25m.
The Irish company said its Swiss parent, Ammado AG, was owed €12.3m but would continue to support the company. It owed trade creditors €1.5m in 2016. “The director is now confident that the turnover of the company will increase,” the accounts said.
