Sir, Members of the Welsh Language Society have always advocated that those who settle in Wales should respect and contribute to Welsh life and try to learn Welsh. Most of the English Labour MPs who have, temporarily, become entrenched in Welsh constituencies, cry racism.
On Sept 2, your Catalan supplement praised the Catalans for having “all but completely ditched ethnicity”, adding that “All they expect now of people who wish to form part of their country is that they either learn to speak or at least understand the Catalan language. Then they are in — they are Catalans.”
