Founded in Peckham, south London, in 1950 and named after a former Labour minister for town and country planning, Lewis Silkin has offices in the UK, Ireland and Hong Kong and specialises in sectors such as employment, intellectual property, real estate and immigration.

This year the firm has advised Headland, a London-based agency specialising in financial and corporate reputation, public affairs and campaigning, on securing a minority investment from LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group.

It also worked with the investment company BGF on a £14 million deal with Victorian Sliders, a Wales-based manufacturer of uPVC sash windows.

The firm is a member of two global alliances: Ius Laboris, specialising in employment law, and Gala, the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance.
