Work completed by the Levison Meltzer Pigott team over the past year continues to reflect a strong emphasis on complex financial and international matters, often involving locating hidden assets and trust structures.
Most notable in recent months is the case relating to Tsvetkov v Khayrova, involving 11 court hearings, 21 witness statements and a ten-day High Court final hearing. The partners Simon Pigott and Benjamin Stowe acted for the husband in a case fraught with multiple challenges, which were framed by what Mr Justice Peel described as the “litigation misconduct” and “history of duplicity” from the wife, a daughter of one of Putin’s allies.
Other unreported cases reflect the partners’ reputation for alternative dispute resolution and seeking, in their client’s interests, to settle cases without resorting to litigation.
