Level founded in 2017, specialises in media, entertainment, technology and sports law and is a big fan of allowing its lawyers to work “wherever and whenever” suits them.

It advised on 130 transactions in football’s 2021 summer transfer window and counts among its clients athletes such as the Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, boxer Anthony Joshua, sprinter Dina Asher-Smith, cyclist Chris Froome and rugby union internationals Owen Farrell and Maro Itoje.

This year the practice has advised the streaming service DAZN on sports rights acquisitions; the Asian Football Confederation on a multibillion-dollar agency agreement; and the acquisition of worldwide betting sponsorship rights for La Liga and Serie A in Spain and Italy respectively.

Level’s media and entertainment lawyers advised the production company Sixteen Films on My Son, starring James McAvoy and Claire Foy, and Beno Obano on his documentary focused on the lack of diversity in English professional rugby.
