Appointments
David Anthony Farrell, QC, has been appointed a circuit judge, assigned to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Luton Crown Court with effect from July 18, 2011.
His Honour Judge Farrell, 55, was called to the Bar (I) in 1978 and took Silk in 2000. He was appointed as an assistant recorder in 1996 and as a recorder in 2000.
Lynn Margaret Tayton, QC, has been appointed a circuit judge, assigned to the Midland Circuit, based at Northampton Combined Court, with effect from July 13, 2011. Judge Tayton, 52, was called to the Bar (G) in 1981 and took silk in 2006. She was appointed as a recorder in 2009.
Jonathan Parkin has been appointed a regional employment judge of the Employment Tribunals (England & Wales), He will be based in the Bristol Region with effect from July 1, 2011.

Judge Parkin, 56, was called to the Bar (M) in 1978. He was appointed as a fee-paid employment judge in 1997, as an assistant recorder in 1999 and as a salaried employment judge in 2000. He also served as a recorder between 2000 and 2010.
