Legacy: Black Ops stars Idris Elba, of The Wire, as a special-forces soldier who has committed some appalling acts for the US Government and has holed up in a Brooklyn apartment. Patchworked with torture scars on his skin, and psychological scars from his own dark deeds, Elba obsesses about his senator brother who commissioned the black ops. Fantasy, retribution and flashbacks all ensue, and by the end you, too, are desperate to get out of his sleazy Brooklyn room with stained sheets and peeling wallpaper. Elba acts so hard that he starts tearing his own skin off, while the audience is left with post-traumatic screen disorder.
