This year the Lee & Thompson partner Martyn Bailey acted for the Sex Pistols guitarist, Steve Jones, and drummer, Paul Cook, in a successful High Court claim against the band’s singer, John Lydon — better known as Johnny Rotten — to compel the latter to consent to the use of the band’s music in a TV series.

The firm’s corporate team also led on a deal for shareholders of the British TV production outfit Wag Entertainment. The Paris-based company Asacha Media has bought a majority stake in the business, which will lead to additional expansion into European markets.

Lee & Thompson also acted for Vue Cinemas to agree a collaboration with BT Sport to show Premier League football in cinemas.
