The firm has continued to be at the heart of big deals, including one of the largest dental business transactions in the UK. It acted for the dental care partnership Queensway Group, which has more than 40 surgeries across the northeast of England. Queensway, which was founded in 1994 by Paul Avery, a graduate dentist from Newcastle University, was snapped up by the national healthcare company Dentex for an undisclosed sum.

It also acted for planning company Richborough Estates, which secured approval for controversial plans for a new 200-home residential development in Baldwin’s Gate, a leafy village in Staffordshire. The development is set to include 50 affordable homes, a new classroom at Baldwins Gate Primary School, upgrades to public infrastructure and highway safety improvements. Approval was granted after a three-year planning battle that involved an extensive consultation, independent design review and a public inquiry.
