Kingsley Napley, which is one of the UK’s best-known criminal and regulation law practices, recently represented Lady Nourse, 77, the High Court judge Sir Martin Nourse’s widow. In May she was unanimously acquitted of all charges relating to historical sex abuse allegations; character witnesses called by the defence included Dame Mary Archer and the former foreign secretary Sir Malcolm Rifkind.

The firm is representing Rebekah Vardy, wife of the footballer Jamie, in her case against her fellow football “Wag” Coleen Rooney, who accused her of leaking private information to the press last year. Vardy has denied involvement and has launched defamation proceedings against Rooney in the High Court.
