Armani is the latest luxury Italian designer set to open at Kildare Village, the high-end outlet mall.

Armani, whose spring-summer collection 2016 included the outfit pictured, follows in the footsteps of Gucci, which opened its doors there in July. Phase two of the centre launches on October 29, when 35 shops will be added, bringing the total to 100.

Other new retailers taking units in Kildare Village include the British luxury brand Aquascutum and Folli Follie, a Greek jewellery chain. Also making a debut are Falke, a luxury hosiery company; Fossil, a US clothing and accessories company; and Napapijri, a premium casual wear retailer.

The Irish chocolate company Lily O’Brien’s will also be part of the new development.

Kildare Village, which sells high-end goods at a discount, is owned by Value Retail. The group is spending €50m on the expansion. The development is being led by Andrew Marshall, who has worked for Gucci and several other luxury brands.
