The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, The Rifles, this evening took the salute at Sounding Retreat and attended the Officers’ Regimental Dinner at Guildhall, London EC2.

By command of The Queen, Mr Julian Evans (Vice-Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Nabil Ammar at 29 Prince’s Gate, London SW7, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Tunisian Republic to the Court of St James’s.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Pannier Market, Butchers Row, Barnstaple, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Mr David Fursdon).

Their Royal Highnesses later attended the Ambrosia Creamery Centenary celebration at Station Road, Lifton, and were received by Sir John Cave, Bt (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Devon).

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Patron, The Prince’s Countryside Fund, this afternoon visited Devon Young Farmers Club, Cheriton Bishop, Devon.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited the German Cancer Research Centre and were received by Mr Winfried Kretschmann (Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg).

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge afterwards visited a market in the Old Town Square. Their Royal Highnesses later took part in a rowing race on the River Neckar.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this evening attended a Reception for those involved in arts and culture in Berlin given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany (His Excellency Sir Sebastian Wood) and the British Honorary Consul at Clärchens Ballhaus, Augustrasse 24, Berlin.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Orders of St John Care Trust Lakes Care Centre, Spine Road East, South Cerney, Gloucestershire.

The Princess Royal, Patron, this evening attended an Inaugural Dinner and opening of the Concorde Hangar at Aerospace Bristol, Hayes Way, Filton, Bristol.

The Duke of Kent this morning visited Castle Ward, Strangford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Down (Mr David Lindsay).

His Royal Highness afterwards named the Ferry MV Strangford II at the Slip, Strangford, and, as President, Royal National Lifeboat Association, met crew members from Portaferry Lifeboat Station.

The Duke of Kent later officially re-opened the Exploris Aquarium, the Rope Walk, Castle Street, Portaferry.
