Sadly John Tucker Must Die never lives up to its title. This is Mean Girls-lite with three jilted high school divas from different cliques trying to humiliate their serial-cheating boyfriend by transforming a new girl into a heartbreaker. Of course, the girl begins to fall for the socially bulletproof Tucker. With a toothsome twentysomething cast that never convinces as teenagers and an episodic, sit- commy script — all quick sight gags and breathlessly delivered dialogue — this isn’t likely to convince its target audience that it’s offering anything new.
