It Might Get Loud

Davis Guggenheim, E (2008)

Fresh off the big screen, this guitar-geek rock-doc is perhaps more suited to DVD. The much-hyped mutual appreciation/ busking sessions between Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White at a soundstage are rather so-what, but the personal bits, when each axeman returns to old haunts, are more engaging — not least Page’s trip back to Zeppelin’s old creative pile Headley Grange (super-rare footage here, Zep fans). Anyone into these guys will love all this; for others, of limited appeal.
