Is Rob Andrew the saviour of English rugby?

Rob Andrew has been handed the role to turn English rugby around. The Rugby Football Union have announced that the former England fly half is to be their new elite director of rugby. The position is regarded as key to an effective defence of the World Cup next year and a successful challenge in 2011.

He beat off competition from Sir Clive Woodward, the man that led England to World Cup glory three years ago.

Is Andrew the right man for the job? Should Woodward have been handed the job instead? Could the two of them have worked in tandem? Can Andrew get England to make a successful defence of their crown in 2007?

Whatever your thoughts, post them in the Comment section below.
