Iran and terrorism

Sir, Iran hardly disguises its sponsorship of terrorism (letter, February 14). For example, its sponsorship of Hezbollah in Lebanon is well-known.

Criticism of the Government over the Iraqi WMD may well be merited, but that does not mean that we should abandon our critical faculties on other issues, or indeed subscribe to the notion that all other threats are somehow a figment of the Prime Minister’s imagination. We should guard ourselves against reactionary and disingenuous cynicism on what are deadly matters.

Yours faithfully,

JOHN B. SHELDON,

(Leader, Space Security and the Military Uses of Outer Space Programme),
