Heidi Klein is a one-stop holiday shop selling everything from bikinis and sun hats to flip-flops and kaftans. It was established in 2002 by Heidi Gosman and Penny Klein, former colleagues from the media industry who wanted to exploit the gap in the market for a place to buy beachware outside the summer months. With the backing of ten City sponsors, they opened their first boutique in Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill, in 2002. A second store was opened in Chelsea in 2004 and, in 2005, Heidi Klein online was launched. The first global store opened in New York earlier this month.
