I’m glad I moved to... High Barnet, London

Sarah Challice, 39, music PR

When did you move? June 2006

What did you buy and how much was it? We bought a three-bed Victorian house for £410,000.

Where from? Muswell Hill, north London

Why High Barnet? My stepdaughter, Rebecca, 12, and my husband, Rob, knew the area well, and it has lots of playgroups for Ella, my two-year-old.

What do you like most? The feeling that you are close to the countryside, but still have a Tube link into town

Any drawbacks? We need better local recycling to include plastics, and there is no municipal swimming pool.
