Hull have completed the signing of Amr Zaki on loan until the end of the season, subject to the Egypt striker receiving a work permit.
Zaki, who scored 11 Barclays Premier League goals in a loan spell with Wigan Athletic last season, joins the club from Egyptian side Zamalek.
Hull have confirmed they have paid a “significant loan fee” for the player who has missed the Africa Cup of Nations through injury but is now fit to return to action.
“I’m happy to be back in the Premier League through Hull City,” Zaki said. “Tigers are good side and I’m looking forward to do my best for the team.
“I want to thank both Phil Brown and (chairman) Adam Pearson for the faith they showed in me and my target is to repay this faith on the field by helping my team-mates to do the best for the club and for the fans.

Zaki is expected to join up with his new team-mates on Thursday and could be in contention for the clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers on January 30.
The striker made an impressive start to life in the Premier League, scoring eight goals in his first ten starts for Wigan but fell out with then manager Steve Bruce following a fourth fine for failing to report back on time from his time away with the Egypt team.
