Howes Percival says that “unprecedented growth” across all offices and practice areas has led this commercial law firm to announce that it will create 50 new positions, including partners, solicitors and support roles, over a two-year period.

The firm’s corporate team celebrated a record year in 2022, completing more than 150 deals with a combined value of £700 million.

Work included advising the leading motor dealership groups Steven Eagell, Listers and FRF on its purchase of Motorline’s network of 19 Toyota and Lexus dealerships.

It also advised Nene Capital, a private equity investor, on its acquisition of Woodland Corporate Interiors and the shareholders of Stonbury Holdings, a UK water and environmental sustainability specialist, on the sale of Stonbury to the private equity firm LDC.

Successive members of the family remained partners in the firm until 2005 when Michael Percival, the seventh generation of his family to be a partner, retired.

The firm’s clients range from individuals and families to global businesses and government departments, across its offices in Cambridge, Leicester, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Northampton and Norwich.
