Cor blimey, this looks good.
Tell me what!
HOG.
A large pig?
Mi scuse! No! House of Gucci, dahling, the year’s most slick and stylish blockbuster. A poster and the trailer have finally been released.
Oh. A fashion documentary?
A feature film, starring Lady Gaga, Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons and Adam Driver and directed by movie supremo Ridley Scott.
Give me Gaga! She was so wonderful in A Star Is Born.
She’s leaning heavily into her inner Italian diva in this turn.
What does that mean?

Aesthetically? Glamour with a capital G. Think porcelain skin, blood-red lipstick, impeccable, heavily kohl-rimmed eyes and curves poured into the most gorgeous clothes imaginable. She’s even wearing a veil in the film posters — very Sicilian widow.
I didn’t realise that was a, er, look.
You’ve clearly never been into a Dolce & Gabbana store. But that’s for another biopic. This one follows the story set out in the book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden about Patrizia Reggiani (played by Gaga), who was married to Maurizio Gucci (Driver), former head of the brand.
What did she do?
Orchestrated his assassination — at least that’s what she was tried and convicted of.
Low-key.
Hard to believe anyone would want to murder Driver, who is looking particularly dishy in his oversized glasses and slick suits as Gucci.
Yes, he’s becoming something of a heart-throb, isn’t he?
Indeed. He now comes with his own cult following.
Doesn’t that Leto chap do too?

Perhaps not in this film. He’s in a fat suit, playing Paolo Gucci, the label’s former vice-president and managing director.
I see. And when is it out?
November 26. Prepare your finest furs.
