HOW CAN I CLEAN THE 100 OR SO GLASS PRISMS OF AN OLD CHANDELIER WHICH CANNOT BE TAKEN DOWN OR TO PIECES SAFELY?

Answer: Make sure that the power is off and the circuit breaker is isolated. Cover each light fitting with a small plastic bag, secured with a rubber band. Place a large towel on the floor beneath the chandelier, then spray the crystals with a 10:1 solution of water and rubbing alcohol. Allow to dry for 24 hours before restoring power.
