Funday: What’s your new film about?
Raven: The Cheetah Girls 2 is about a group of four girls following their dream to become pop stars. It is also a great movie about friendship. My character enters our pop group, The Cheetah Girls, into a music contest in Barcelona.
Funday: Tell us all about your character.
Raven: She’s called Galleria and she is inspired by being in Barcelona. She writes the final song of the movie that combines American, hip-hop, Spanish, rock, pop and many other musical tones to touch people from all around the world.
Funday: What’s it like to be a Cheetah Girl?
Raven: I play the strict girl in the movie – for my character it’s all work and no fun. I only put on the persona when they say “action”. When they say “cut”, I’m done. In real life, I’m much more of a laugh so I prefer it when the cameras stop rolling.
Funday: Is there a message behind the movie?
Raven: There’s an essence of girl power in the movie, but we’ve grown up a bit since the first film and we handle friendship a lot better. There’s always some evil person trying to break us up, but our love for each other always shines through in the end.

Funday: What was the funniest thing to happen to you on set?
Raven: My most hilarious moment happened when I fell in the middle of a scene. I had to run away from my mum in the film but I couldn’t walk in the boots I was wearing so I went flying.
