ZATHURA: A SPACE ADVENTURE

Shareef Elsayed, 11

“I would probably give it 4½ out of 5; not top marks though, because I prefer comedy movies. It was much more realistic than I thought it would be and very exciting. The special effects were really good. All the actors playing the main characters were impressive, too. I really enjoyed it and I think anyone who is aged 10-14 should go to see this film.”

FACTORY GIRLS

Elaine Galloway, 27

“It’s great fun and you really feel as if you’re involved in the action with a really good atmosphere. The second act is a bit strange and at times wanders but all the actors are fantastic and while the play itself isn’t the best thing I’ve ever seen, it’s worth going for the immersive theatrical experience.”

WHATEVER PEOPLE SAY I AM, THAT’S WHAT I’M NOT

“The Arctic Monkeys have made a really good record, but in so far as living up to the hype, it’s nothing that hasn’t been heard already; a mixture of other bands, sounds and styles. If Franz Ferdinand were hanging out with Nirvana and they got Paul Weller to produce, this would be the result. Gritty, urban, yet optimistic and witty.”
